Help
Spiritual gifts: Helps, Hospitality, Mercy, Service
There are many ways you can Help as a ministry at Petaluma Valley Baptist Church.
Mobile Food Pantry

We participate with other area churches to deliver food to needy families, every fourth week, as part of the Mobile Food Pantry. This involves collecting food, buying it, packing it into bags, and delivering it.
Welcome Table
Every Sunday, we want our visitors to feel welcome, learn where to go, get some information about our church, and provide some information so we can follow up with them later. Our Welcome Ministry provides this function before and after every worship service. If you sign up, you can put a smile on our visitors' faces and ease any discomfort they might feel in a new environment.
Work Parties
From time to time, work parties are organized for city wide cleanup (in association with City Ministries), church cleanup or beautification, landscaping, or construction. If you sign up, you can be notified when the need exists so you can participate if your schedule permits.
Kitchen Help
There are many opportunities to help in the Kitchen and support the fellowship of the church. Food is served between worship services, at evening potlucks, and at special events at the church. There can also be opportunities to provide home cooked meals for those recently home from the hospital, following the birth of a child, etc. If you sign up, you can be notified when the need exists so you can participate if your schedule permits.
Set up, Tear Down, Clean Up
Many events require setting up tables and chairs, putting them away, and cleaning up after a group. If you sign up, you can be notified when the need exists so you can participate if your schedule permits.
Parking Attendant
Some special events require parking assistance due to large crowds, such as the Festival of Christmas, or funerals. If you sign up, you can be notified when the need exists so you can participate if your schedule permits.
AWANA Helper
We host a thriving AWANA ministry, with many area children attending. We are in need of people who are willing to listen to children recite Bible verses, help play games, and serve as positive role models. Volunteer sign ups usually kick off in August each year in preparation for registration in September, coinciding with the school year.
