Children
Faith Roberts’ vision is that a church with a vivacious children’s ministry is a growing church. In order to grow our children’s department at Petaluma Valley, we need quality programs. Here, we strive to provide fun programs that create a thirst for the Lord. It is our goal to keep children wanting to come back, again and again.
The main goal for the leaders and teachers in the children’s department is that each child develops a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Volunteers with children and youth who are age 18 and over undergo fingerprinting and background investigation screening to assure the safety of our children.

Sunday Mornings
- Nursery (9:00 & 11:00 Sunday mornings and 7:00 Friday evenings)
- Sunday School for ages 2-12 (9:00 Sunday mornings)
- Wee Church for ages 2-4 (11:00 Sunday mornings)
- Children’s Church for ages 5-12 (11:00 Sunday mornings)
- Children’s Church for ages 5-12 (11:00 Sunday mornings)
Sunday evenings
- Children’s Choir (5:00 – 6:00)
Fall – Spring
- AWANA (6:25 – 8:00 Thursday evenings)
- Highly successful and structured program that focuses on Bible memorization, games, and lesson in drama, interspersed with fun events like crazy hair night, olympic games, and quiz-style competitions. Uniform is provided and badges and recognition reinforce successfully committing important Bible verses to memory. Separate groups for Cubbies (grades K-2), Sparks (grades 3-4), and Truth in Training (grades 5-6).
