Worship at PVBC is designed to
lead us into real encounters with the living God. Our great passion
is to give God the worship that He deserves and desires. Our great
confidence is that worship is not only honoring to God but life-changing
to us. The worship experiences we share when we gather together
at church energize and clarify our walk with Christ when we return to
the world beyond the walls of church.
We believe that the diversity of our church family is representative
of our Creator's delight in variety. God's diversity and creativity
are reflected in the broad array of worship "ingredients" which are
regularly utilized in our worship services. These "ingredients'
include music of many different styles and types, multi-media and technology,
a changing variety of instrumentation, times of silence and reflection,
times of joyful exuberance, choirs, solos, ensembles, personal testimonies,
preaching, etc.
The preaching at PVBC is always clear, always relevant, always practical
and always rooted in the Bible. We believe that the Bible is nothing
less than the word of God. To read God's word is to encounter
God. Every sermon is designed to help us understand what God is
saying to us in His word and show us how that message can be applied
to our daily lives.
Those coming to worship at PVBC for the first time tell us that they
find the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming, the people warm and friendly
